Fueled by the echoes of his father’s old rock and MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) CDs, Matheus found purpose the moment he first sat behind a drum kit—and never looked back. His passion for drums surpasses the barriers of music styles, throughout a career that highlights a varied sonic palette, he helped bring countless projects to life both recording and touring in some of the greatest studios and venues in Brazil. Now, he gifts the world with his own compositions: a bold mixture of progressive rock, jazz fusion, and the unmistakable Brazilian syncope. Known for his powerful and captivating live performances, he is gentle but loud and brings a unique rhythmic approach to the stage, layering complex grooves with electrifying soundscapes captured from contemporary instrumentation to create something closer to hallucination—and reach the audience’s deepest emotions.

With a career spanning over a decade, Matheus has collaborated with more than 20 artists, both in the studio and on tour. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Popular Music from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) in Brazil and a Master's degree in Contemporary Performance from Berklee College of Music’s campus in Valencia, Spain. As an experienced educator, he has spent the past 10 years helping students of all levels develop their skills and find their own musical voice. His teaching experience includes private lessons, work at various music schools, and leading an online course that attracted over 40 students during the pandemic.
